Flowering & Color
Bougainvillea, hibiscus, ixora, plumbago, and gardenia — year-round color that pops against green foliage and blue water. Placed where they'll be seen from the patio and the pool.
Hedges & Screening
Podocarpus, clusia, areca palms, and viburnum — natural privacy screens that create outdoor rooms and block unwanted views. Trimmed formally or left natural, depending on the look.
Shade Trees
Live oak, magnolia, crape myrtle, and tabebuia — trees that provide shade, structure, and seasonal interest. Placed to cool the house and the patio without dropping leaves in the pool.
